Our Team On The News....
SFC U12 GIRLS CLINCH REGION I CHAMPION TITLE
7/3/07 - The SFC U12G Team is the first girls' team from
New York State to win the Regional Championships!
This year, the championships were held in beautiful
Portland, Maine. The team won two of three preliminary
games, with a loss of 1-0 to Rhode Island, after a
controversial call which lead to a retraction of a goal.
The girls faced and won a challenging semi-final game
against the West Virginia Rowdies, and met-up with
Rhode Island once again in the finals. Coach Pao
implemented a well-planned strategy, which drew upon
each girl's individual strengths. It was clear that the
girls "came to win"......In a total shut-out, the girls took
home the gold with a final score of 5-0!
